Over these past few months I've noticed an increase in men wearing slippers- on the streets. Usually velvet slippers are worn by rich men lounging around in their cigar rooms, and they often wear matching velvet robes and paisley ascots. But these days velvet slippers are being worn sockless with light colored denim jeans and button-ups. It's the winter so many of you won't be going sockless, but you can wear your velvet slippers with socks that compliment your overall look.

i have velvet slippers, mine are ralph lauren– very comfortable. i havent worn them out yet, but i will try it this weekend.
i got a pair from a thrift store in brooklyn, but i dont see that much in thrift stores- i got lucky
