Denim Focused, Get the Look: David Beckham & the Denim Shirt

Fall 2008 H&M ad, featured in our 08′ Button It Up post

As mentioned in the latest trend report, Sir David Beckham is really putting the basic denim shirt back on the map. Though the reincarnation of this trend “officially” launched in Fall 2008, we’re just now (Fall/Winter 2009/2010) seeing the trendy rise of denim button-ups and “double denim” looks on stylish celebrities and urban gentlemen. Everyone may not be able to pull off double-denim looks (jean shirt + jean pants), but it’s easy to pair a denim shirt with khakis or black flat-front soft corduroy trousers.

If you don’t already have one, be sure to add atleast one denim shirt to your winter wardrobe.

  1. Love the denim shirt look but have struggled to find one I like for this winter. Think I`ll head to wrangler, your post shows a couple that look pretty sweet! Loving the blog by the way, check out the savile joe blog if you get a chance, i`d love your opinion. thanks, craig

  2. Loving the new/old Denim Shirt look. So glad that Sir David Beckham has championed it. Took my new look to the streets on Saturday evening and rocked the bar I was in. Long live the Brokeback look!

  3. Loving the faded denim shirt, gives a rough manly look. Don't be scared to pair it with jeans. I rock faded denim shirt half open with white tee like becks with dark g-star jeans.

They'll be big this year trust me.
