New York Fashion Week Mens Day 2: Public School, Ovadia and Sons, and Yeezy Boost.

Public School's Line-Up Presentation During New York Men's Fashion Week 2015

"I’m coming up… on a Tuesday.” That’s how we all felt, after viewing Public School’s 2016 Spring Summer Collection

Upon entering the presentation of Public School, the mood shifts. Our eyes are met with wall to wall alleged criminals and convicts, maybe some are guilty maybe some are innocent. Who knows?? But what one does know is this is clearly going to be the dopest show at New York Men’s Fashion Week 2015
Pure personality, these models really sold the presentation. Their movement, their expressions, the diversity enhanced the Public School apparel. The cool guy in the middle is actor, Waris Ahluwalia.

Each lineup was the perfect vignette, giving you assorted flavors and variations of refined grit, swagged utility, and simply— good men’s fashion. Top buttoned, zipped-up, boxy pullovers, and redefined bomber-moto-trench-blazer combos. Neutral palette – whites, navys, grays with a few subtle barely there plaid and grid prints. This, is a man’s collection – safe in color, hard in style, no skinny shit, just good fit.

Congrats Public School (Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne), you made everyone's Tuesday awesome.

On New York Men's Fashion Week night one I met DJ Mike Nouveau, he was the only man in the room wearing the combo of two of my favorite trends— pattern on pattern and flowers. So of course when he told me he was DJing Ovadia and Sons I knew I had to check it out. (See Mike Nouveau's look on our Facebook page)

The closing look

Reimagined camo, floral, elongated silhouettes, and a slew of versatile jackets… in fact, that was the overall theme— uncombersome versatility. Their looks were ready to wear straight off the runway. The usual athletic fashionistos (Victor Cruz, Dwayne Wade, etc) lined the front row, with a random and entourage laden last minute edition of R.Kelly. lol. Yes, R.Kelly. The R&B singer sported the all the trends of the first night— big hat and beard.

In other news, Day 2 of Men’s Fashion Week New York was filled with more sandals and clean silhouettes. The first pair of Yeezys made an appearance, which I must say was a pleasant surprise. Showing that not everyone feeds into the hype… it's always cool to just have niche hype.
