The Other King: Lebron James GQ Magazine

LeBron is always one of the first men that come to mind when I’m asked to name the “top ten best dressed athletes”… (Although, like one Urban Gent commented earlier this month, I think Chris Paul is headed for the number one spot… ). He humbly graces the cover of the newest GQ Magazine, and I must say good sir- you look dashing.

Courtside Cool: Taye Diggs

I saw this picture of Taye Diggs Courtside at a Knicks Game and thought it was cool- when guys dress like this it just shows alot of personality, dontcha think? Fedora, cuffed jeans, layered shirt, probably Oliver Peoples glasses… it actually looks like something Johnny Depp would wear. See guys, now I might not personally LOVE what Taye is wearing, but I feel like its cool- its not about following every trend it’s about developing your own personal style that fits you and your personality ya digg? (get it, taye diggs, ya digg… ok, i’ll stop)

First, I would like to congratulate the Atlanta Hawks on a game well-played tonight. We beat the New York Knicks, 98-95, but we should have beat them by more.

Saturday:

Alabama vs Florida on CBS at 4pm
Missouri vs Oklahoma on ABC at 8pm
The big fight between De La Hoya and Pacquiao- “The Dream Match” on HBO

Sunday:
Atlanta Falcons vs New Orleans Saints on FOX at 1pm

Congratulations Georgia Tech!

I just want to take the time to congratulate the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on a game well played. After 7 years we finally ended the streak and kicked Georgia’s ass. So party all night long- I wish I was in Atlanta, I know the city is crazy right now (well atleast downtown Atlanta).

(If some of you are wondering “what the heck is she talking about”, well I’m a Georgia Institute of Technology Alumni and so therefore obviously a HUGE Yellow Jacket fan (I love college football in general). And Georgia (UGA) and Georgia Tech are rivals).

To celebrate I want to post one of our oh so lovely chants, lol:

What’s the Good Word?
To Hell with Georgia
What’s the Good Word?
To Hell with Georgia
What’s the Good Word?
To Hell with Georgia
How bout them dawgs?
Piss on em!

(lol…. I know it’s harsh, but thats football for ya, plus Georgia Tech was an all male school at first, so you know how that goes- everything is a tad bit rough)

And our fight song:

I’m a Ramblin’ Wreck from Georgia Tech, and a hell of an Engineer
A Helluva, Helluva, Helluva, Helluva, Helluva Engineer
Like all the jolly good fellows, I drink my whiskey clear.
I’m a Ramblin’ Wreck from Georgia Tech and a hell of an Engineer
Oh, if I had a daughter, sir, I’d dress her in white and gold,
And put her on the campus To cheer the brave and bold.
But if I had a son, sir, I’ll tell you what he’d do–
He’d yell: TO HELL WITH GEORGIA ‘!’ Like his daddy used to do.
Oh, I wish I had a barrel of rum, and Sugar three thousand pounds
A college bell to put it in, And a clapper to stir it round.
I’d drink to all the good fellows, who come from far and near.
I’m a Ramblin’, Gamblin’ , HELL OF AN ENGINEER!
