First, I would like to congratulate the Atlanta Hawks on a game well-played tonight. We beat the New York Knicks, 98-95, but we should have beat them by more.

Saturday:

Alabama vs Florida on CBS at 4pm
Missouri vs Oklahoma on ABC at 8pm
The big fight between De La Hoya and Pacquiao- “The Dream Match” on HBO

Sunday:
Atlanta Falcons vs New Orleans Saints on FOX at 1pm

Congratulations Georgia Tech!

I just want to take the time to congratulate the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on a game well played. After 7 years we finally ended the streak and kicked Georgia’s ass. So party all night long- I wish I was in Atlanta, I know the city is crazy right now (well atleast downtown Atlanta).

(If some of you are wondering “what the heck is she talking about”, well I’m a Georgia Institute of Technology Alumni and so therefore obviously a HUGE Yellow Jacket fan (I love college football in general). And Georgia (UGA) and Georgia Tech are rivals).

To celebrate I want to post one of our oh so lovely chants, lol:

What’s the Good Word?
To Hell with Georgia
What’s the Good Word?
To Hell with Georgia
What’s the Good Word?
To Hell with Georgia
How bout them dawgs?
Piss on em!

(lol…. I know it’s harsh, but thats football for ya, plus Georgia Tech was an all male school at first, so you know how that goes- everything is a tad bit rough)

And our fight song:

I’m a Ramblin’ Wreck from Georgia Tech, and a hell of an Engineer
A Helluva, Helluva, Helluva, Helluva, Helluva Engineer
Like all the jolly good fellows, I drink my whiskey clear.
I’m a Ramblin’ Wreck from Georgia Tech and a hell of an Engineer
Oh, if I had a daughter, sir, I’d dress her in white and gold,
And put her on the campus To cheer the brave and bold.
But if I had a son, sir, I’ll tell you what he’d do–
He’d yell: TO HELL WITH GEORGIA ‘!’ Like his daddy used to do.
Oh, I wish I had a barrel of rum, and Sugar three thousand pounds
A college bell to put it in, And a clapper to stir it round.
I’d drink to all the good fellows, who come from far and near.
I’m a Ramblin’, Gamblin’ , HELL OF AN ENGINEER!

Gentleman Spotlight: Chris Paul

I'm so glad GQ did a little article about this guy because I was meaning to do my homework and find more pictures with him. He originally caught my eye at LeBron Jame's Ralph Lauren event… after seeing his picture and his style, I was like "hmmmmmm, this guy has to be featured." This goes without saying, but Christ Paul is a point guard for the New Orleans Hornets and he helped us (America) secure gold in this years Olympics– we dominated!!

Anyway check out this GQ spread of Chris Paul:

Vest, $395, by Michael Kors. Shirt, $395, by Ralph Lauren Purple Label. Tie, $100, by Calvin Klein Collection. Cap by J.J. Hat Center. Watch by Oris.

Cindy: The is my favorite shot, I love the juxtaposition of the textures, patterns, and style- so fly. The tie is so cool, and the french cuff shirt makes the look… All gentleman must own a few french cuff shirts.

Vest, $695, by Dsquared2. T-shirt, $16, by American Apparel. Jeans, $225, by Prada. Watch by Concord.

Vest, $398, by Coach. Henley, $105, by Nice Collective. Tank top, $30 (for three), by Calvin Klein Underwear. Chinos, $125 (including suspenders), by Converse by John Varvatos. Watch by Breitling.

Vest, $795, by Versace Collection. Sweater, $295, by Converse by John Varvatos. Pants, $225, by Engineered Garments. Sneakers, $85, by Jordan Brand. Watch by Cartier.

Vest, $90, by DKNY Jeans. Shirt, $58, by Izod. Pants, $70, and sneakers by Jordan Brand. Watch by Audemars Piguet. Headphones by Beats by Dr. Dre.

Vest, $273, by True Religion Brand Jeans. Shirt, $165, by 7 for All Mankind. Jeans, $165, by Polo by Ralph Lauren. Sunglasses by Tom Ford. Watch by Rolex. Belt by Gilded Age.

Could GQ/Men's Style's message get anymore clearer? I think they're trying to tell us vest are in. But not just any vest- bubble vest. Will you be rocking one anytime soon?

Lil Wayne x ESPN: Sports Blogging

Extra Extra read all about it! The rapper known as Lil Wayne aka Weezy is now writing for ESPN Magazine’s blog. This will definitely be a switch up for ESPN because Weezy writes how he talks, lol… He says he ONLY watches sports and feels that he knows what’s gonna happen- a sports physic of sorts. Well, this should be interesting… check out his first entry here.

Usain Bolt: Puma Gold

Those custom made spikes are a beauty
Usain Bolt outside “The Bird’s Nest” in Beijing, China.

If you didn’t know him before, you love him now. With a 9.69 100m WORLD RECORD time, Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt is the fastest man in the world. And oh-boy am I proud… if you didn’t know I’m half Jamaican myself… so after his win and the sweep with the Jamaican women- Shelly-Ann Fraser, Kerron Stewart and Sherone Simpson I was superCrazyRidiculouslyExcited! Anyway, Usain aka “Lightening Bolt” made history while rockin’ gold Pumas. That was a good look for Puma and I’m sure their shoes sales of the Cell Meio, from their Runway Collection, will spike. Check them out:

The “Usain” Pumas…

I’ve always had a fetish for Pumas, they’re just so ridiculously cool, but I usually opt for the high tops… I actually have the Jamaican colored high-top pumas that I rock on special occasions:-) Aren’t you just lovin’ how these shoes are croc- so sexy… check out all 14 colors and styles, including the new Puma Usan Metallic.

Turns out Puma has had a presence in Jamaica for awhile.
I found this ad on the net and it says that Puma was (is?) a
sponsor of the Jamaican Athletics Federation.
Cool ad!

More pictures of the fastest man in the world

This picture makes me laugh because he was straight
CHILLIN at the end of the race! Hands all out and ish,
neck turned to the side, lol. He could have ran so much
faster and he could have a MUCH better record,
but hey… maybe next olympic.

And the fastest women:

Darn it feels so good to be a Jamaican right now:-)
and an American- thanks to Michael Phelps, that guy is my Hero!!! :-)
