It’s unusual for every guy who hits the red carpet to look almost flawless… but somehow they did. (well, most of them anyway)
at the Shrine auditorium in Los Angeles February 12, 2009.
An very attractive couple. Now guys, THIS is how you wear black and white. And again, we see the polka dot trend, but this time solely used in his pocket square.
I wish his tie was straight, but this a clean simple look-
all black (like many guys on the red carpet these days), but instead of a black tie he opted for a skinny tie that compliments his skin tone.
receiving the President Awards
Russell Simmons receiving the Vanguard Award with his daughters Aoki and Ming Lee
(but as they say “if its not broken, don’t fix it”…
meaning he looks good every time he wears this look)
Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.
(I heard he was pretty mad when walking the red carpet because of the Rihanna and Chris Brown news.
T.I looks very nice and he looked even better live on the red carpet.
His look is always different, but to be honest, I have yet to see him with a very cohesive look, something about the styling of his looks are always off…
I like it when groups match, but I’m not completely a fan of the colors of these jackets. I wish they were a few shades darker- making the look less playful.
I wish he would have worn different shade- ones with a bigger frame.
The polka dot Tie/Pocket Square combo was okay.
(I guess he and LL were on the same page)
He looks sloppy. His jacket is too big and his pants are too long.
He should have gotten it all altered. And he should have worn different a different shirt, shoes, and hat.
Something about Ne-Yo always throws me off and I’m pretty sure it’s the tilting of the hat, but I guess he looks nice. His girlfriend looks good though.
I must say, as a whole, the “gansta” rappers really dressed to impress this year.
They treated the Grammys like a black-tie event instead of like a night out at the club.
I hope they keep it up.

Black on black has been very popular on the red carpet this year so far.
I feel like its too much, but I admire his efforts.
The tie on its own is cool because of the burgundy outline…
I wonder who made it. And I like the pocket square as well.
I’m just not a fan of the suit material he chose.
Summary of Looks:
-Black on black
Skinny ties, bowties, and velvet were also still heavily present.
Julius Tennon and Viola Davis.
A few guys have been asking me about advice for prom and this is a good example of how to match. The girl is wearing a radiant color like yellow and you can match by choosing a neutral complimenting tie color in the same material- in this case silver.
66th AnnualGolden Globe Awards
held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel
I usually don’t do “worst-dressed”,
but the tackiness of these two guys
is sort of uncalled for…
I’m totally speechless.
I love Laurence- I swear I do, but why.. why oh why
must you look like a baptist preacher at the Golden Globe Awards
I like it when guys go a little bit out the box for black tie events, but
this is just wrong.
Best Dressed of the Night:
From the perfectly cut hair to the spread collar.
Tom looks extremely handsome in his Armani tuxedo.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
I like it when men wear suits that subtly match their personality.
I feel like this 3 piece suit fits his mysterious demeanor.
I may not recommend this for everyone, but it looks good on him.
